Sick days + Healthy ways

My sweet man caught the winter woes, with chest and head congestion and a sore throat.  Times like these, its great having a medicine woman around asking you every minute if you need something, or spoon feeding you potent brews of medicinal herbs. Here are a few recipes from my arsenal of sickness soothers.


Cold tonic:

Ingredients:: Fresh grated Ginger + Fresh Garlic + Fresh or powdered Turmeric + Cayenne Powder + Cinnamon + Raw honey

Benefits:: This broth is anti-inflammatory, while soothing the throat, helping clear congestion, break up mucous, and clear away stagnant energy


Nourishing Kimchi soup::

Ingredients:: Charged Spring Water + Liver Tonic + Mushrooms + Brussels Sprouts + Cauliflower +  Red Onion + Fresh & Fermented Garlic + Kimchi + Lemongrass Brown Rice

Benefits:: High in Vitamin A, C, and K. This soup helps boost immune function, and relieve inflammation. It is a natural cleansing and detoxifying soup, to allow our bodies to begin building back it's strength. This soup balances and opens the Heart + Solar Plexus Chakras through active energy and nourishment of the stomach through probiotics. 

Liver Tonic::

Ingredients:: Astragalus + Schizandra + Chaga Mushroom + Bitter Orange Peel + Cinnamon

Benefits:: Tones and Cleanses the liver helping clear the body of toxins and increase blood purification and production. supportive and nourishing with loads of vitamins, minerals, and enzymes. 

Southwest Tempeh Quinoa bowl:  

Ingredients:: sunflower seeds + Tempeh browned in lemon and pepper olive oil+ Red Onion + Tomato + Avocado + Black Beans + Lime juice + Garlic + Salt + Pepper + Almond Milk with Quinoa


Benefits:: Anti-inflammatory, increased nutrient absorption, high in Minerals, B & E vitamins, as well as being easy on the digestive system.
