Fall Food to Fuel Your Chakras

Dinner smelled and tasted so scrumptious Coco was twice the beggar that she usually is!  

Fall is my favorite time of year, especially with all the yummy food!! Rich, warm, salty, sweet, and mouthwatering are what come to mind when I think of fall foods.

I had been feeling a bit sluggish and gloomy for a few days so with this meal I wanted to focus on nourishing and opening my sacral, solar plexus, and heart chakras. Food is a great way to channel energy to your chakras! Life force energy is in all foods, and by nourishing our bodies with a variety of colorful, seasonal, and nutrient rich foods, we are able to harness this life force energy channeling it throughout our body raising our own energy! 

Sacral Chakra (Orange)- Lemon glazed veggies + Tempeh

Solar Plexus Chakra (yellow)- Tumeric + Cilantro Rice

Heart Chakra (Green)- Avocado  

 

 

 

 

Recipe

(serves 4)

1 package Organic Tempeh

3 small sweet potatoes

1 yellow onion

1  small Yellow Squash

organic button mushrooms

1 Avocado

1 lemon

1 cup uncooked rice

3 green onions

Cilantro

Tumeric

smoked paprika

garlic

salt

pepper

 

Instructions

Start with your rice! Add 1 cup uncooked brown rice + 3 Green onions + 1 Tablespoon Tumeric to 2 cups boiling water. 

Get out your big pan! Heat up olive oil in your big pan and add your Tempeh (thin slices will shorten the time it takes to glaze) 

After the Tempeh has a nice brown glaze (after about 20 min)  remove from pan and keep in a bowl for later.

Throw in all your veggies!!!! Juice your lemon, and pour over veggies! Now add garlic!!!! I used 1 large clove, you can add however much you like! Now add spices ( you can use whatever your favorite spices are, I used smoked paprika, salt, and pepper) and SAUTEEEE! 

Now your veggies are all cooked and its time to Toss the tempeh back into the pan with the veggies, and sautee for a few more minutes! 

Your rice should be done by now, yay! To finish it off, remove your green onions, sprinkle some garlic powder and add your cilantro!  

THE BEST PART!!!! put the rice on your plate, put the veggies + Tempeh over it, and top it off with 1/4 Avocado!
